Discussing the possibility of QE3 and further easing/stimulus from the Fed, we turn to Brien Lundin of "The Gold Newsletter" and the New Orleans Investment Conference. Although he notes that typically it is abnormal to see Fed action during such a highly political season, he notes that Bernanke likely feels the continued unemployment rates are too much for the economy to bear, and also notes that Romney has already stated he would replace Bernanke if elected, perhaps providing more incentive for the Fed to take action now. Moving on to his thoughts on the economy, Lundin explains that although he believe's the Romney/Ryan/Republican plan for the economy is the country's best best, he also notes, however ironically, that another Obama term will likely be very positive for gold and the precious metals.
